What a bummer!! I've been drooling over the pictures of the cocoa crispies for months!! lol !

How awful your order was horrible :( I know how you feel though, I spent like $30 on some raw foods from a company(can't remember the name lol) and all the "food" was disgusting!! ugh!

Yeah. I made the mistake of imagining them to be little crispy chocolatey things. Nope. And they're more gray than brown. Ah well. At least I tried 'em!

I filled my cart at Naturaw with over $150 worth of stuff. I got to shipping and they wanted over $40 for shipping. I suddenly remembered why I didn't purchase my cartful of stuff the last time I e-shopped there. Then I thought "Screw it, I'll do it just this once to try all this stuff." I go to fill it out and get an ERROR message saying my cart was empty. SCREW THAT. I e-shopped over an hour and a half buying all that stuff. I was NOT about to do it again. But JEEZ I had to email them about their shipping prices. The prices on their items are really good, but WOO do they get you in the shipping! Some day when I have the energy (yet again, for a THIRD time) to do some raw shopping on there, I will. Just so I can have tried them.

Well, I may be in the minority here, but I love the food from One Lucky Duck. :) Even the Cocoa Crispies (altho' I do like the cinnamon crispies better). I've tried some of the recipes in their book, and have enjoyed them, also. (And I've had problems with recipes -- from other places -- in the past. Their book is one of my favorites.)

It may just be more of a matter of taste. Maybe don't write them off until you actually try them? :)

You are not in the minority. I LOVE One Lucky Duck. I do not however, like their chocolate macaroons. Now, when i make the recipe at home, I love it. And so much cheaper! My kids love the macaroon samples that they send with my order, so they get those. I usually get ingredients and body care from Duck. I love their Bee Yummy Skin Food, and their raw body creams by Divine Botanicals. I didn't get my order once (UPS actually lost it), and one lucky duck actually sent me a free bag and some other goodies because I had to re-order. Thanks for the tipo on the choc. crispies, I will not be trying them :o

and they were delicious! They stay good for about a week in an airtight container. I only had to dehydrate mine for about 7 hours, tho. I kept checking them and I wanted to make sure they were chewy on the inside. Very delicious! :D

The recipe for the macaroons is in their book and it is great. I don't eat them very fast but put the rest in a wax bag....they got a little stale after a few weeks, dried out more and were great like that too....chewier...made the chocolate ones this week...they are very dark, intense flavor and rich~

Codajess, I'm sorry this didn't work out for you and I think you should let them know of your experience. Maybe you'll get an exchange or refund at the very least.

Couldn't hurt to try. I am sure they value your patronage.

Hi Codajess,

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I just made their chocolate and blonde macaroons yesterday, but using agave instead of maple syrup. Also, I didn't dehyrate them but just put them in the fridge. They were really good and quite addictive. However, I made another batch of the blonde macaroons a few hours later, but used 2/3 cup coconut butter(instead of 1/3 cup). It was heavenly and even better!
