Hi all -
The retreat was really great. I didn't get a chance to sit in on any of Gabriel Cousens talks --- so didn't actually get to meet him up close and personal. I did get to listen to two general topic short panel talks he participated in though.

I did meet Victoria Boutenko and Valya -- amazing people. Went to two of Victoria's workshops - she speaks from the heart and is so passionate. She certainly sold me on Green Smoothies ... and of course, I came home with her book! I also met Abeba - the Krazy Kracker Lady ... she is simply fantastic. She makes great crackers! (came home with both of her books).

Jeff Rogers (Vice Cream fame) was there. We chowed down vanilla ice cream at registration. soooo good. He is cool -- makes a mean chocolate cake!!! -- and threw together a great salad dressings demo! (came home with his Vice Cream book too). Brigitte Mars was there (Rawsome)-- what an inspirational lady she is ... so much knowledge, and so very nice. Have any of you heard of Richard Helmsley? Well, if you haven't, you will be. A truly engaging young chef - did fantastic desserts. The retreat was hosted by Gabrielle & Thomas Chavez -- wonderful to meet them too. Everyone I met was so nice.

Soooo - the workshops were great. The food was fantastic - prepared by different chefs each day. Even my non-raw husband, who was very unsure about the whole thing, enjoyed it! There were about 100 "campers" there plus staff - so it was pretty busy.
The camp was beautiful - very peaceful and pleasant. I am NOT a camper, but even I survived the cabin and bunks. The weather cooperated -- a bit cold and rainy the first half of day 1, but after that it warmed up and was sunny and nice. Was a great time!

Is this a regular event or just a one off.
We have an old thread going here about us all meeting up and maybe this is where it should happen.

They are already planning the one for next year ... so it appears it will happen again.

I think everyone was very pleased with the retreat, and the staff and sponsors were pleased with how it went. Wow .. if a whole heap of folks from this forum decided to go, that would be so great!!!
