Hey everyone,
I haven't been here in a while but I'm doing well and my second month of raw is almost coming to an end! But, I have a question for you all that have tried that onion rings recipe from rawguru.com, it's posted here somewhere---Did they turn out as crunchy as the SAD version? And were they golden like that picture???
Thanks Y'all :)

They turn out awesome - better than the fried rings cause there's no grease coating your throat! They do look like the real thing.
They were messy to make though. I recall writing quite a bit about it in that thread if you could locate it.
P.S. I located it. Suggestion after reading what I had written: Definately cut large slices and don't use all the dry mixture in the dipping bowl, but set it (the main amount) aside and use a little at a time.

I made them once, too. They ARE messy. They take a long time to make. I wasn't satisfied enough to make them again, though.

Yes, they are crunchy. Not hard though. VERY good.
I may do them again because I'm getting onion ring flashbacks now.
