I have a new job and I install the stone skirts on modular homes. I usually eat a strawberry banana smoothie in the morning and canteloupe on the way home then a salad or more fruit or nothing. I was wondering if the work I do is to strenuous to fast while doing this.;

It does not seem as though you are fasting if you are eating salad and cantaloupe.

I think they are wondering if they should fast while working this job?

I was just planning to send a thread with the same subject,
what is your opinion: can you water- or juicefast while working ( at a office)?
(let's say for 7 days, including the weekend)
I am only talking/asking about the physical effects

WOW, if you can handle manual labor while fasting......do it very gently. I'm assuming you havent' started fasting yet?
Office work is doable. My suggestion would be to move fluidly as possible....when you bp drops while fasting, you want to move gently and sensitively to your body's adaptation to fasting.
It's during this time your body is struggling between diverting all energy and enzymes towards healing AND accomodating you to use more energy (like working etc). As much as possible,rest in mind body and spirit. If you can, sleep no later than 11 pm 9-10 pm is desirable.

My suggestion would be to start on your days off so you can adjust easily. I wouldn't start a fast on a work day. But that is me.
