It will not happen easily to your rawwies, but maybe to prevent a worse
slip to "sad" the following may be helpfull:

highest alkalizing -- ph 9 (100x more alkalizing than stadium ph = 7) :p

high alkalizing -- ph 8 (10x more alkalizing than stadium ph = 7)

---------- neutral -- ph7 --------------------------

more acidifying -- ph 6 (10 times more acid than stadium ph = 7)

hiher acidifying -- ph 5 (100 times more acid than stadium ph = 7)

worse acidifying -- ph = 4 (1000 times  more acid than stadium ph = 7)
--------------------

* the danger is that each ph-step stands for a factor 10

* if you drink/eat 1 unit with ph = 4, you can only compensate this with
10 units ph = 9 or 100 units ph = 8, or 1000 units ph =7

* to make it simple: To neutralize a glass of cola with a pH of 2.5, it would take 32 glasses of alkaline water with a pH of 10.

* when you crave , look out for the stuff with a worse ph

Do you believe in alkalizing water? Reverse osmosis water with lemon juice is 4.5 Ph. After I drink it in the morning my saliva becomes 7.2 from 6.00. So it might mean that high ph water does not make high ph body. Did you try to actually measure it?

* I have strips for measuring urine-ph, does anyone know if these can be used to measure saliva?

* I didn't measure so far, only looking for info
* I don't think measuring the ph of any water is usefull, it says nothing about the influence on your body
* I am interested in reactions of people which have measured their saliva
after drinking water& baking soda
* the info in my original post was specially meant for people which want to help SAD-people, providing them with info
(the example shows that it's impossible to get your blood ok after a thin
of coca-cola)

Unfortunately, what all this info on alkalizing neglects to consider is the kidney's role in regulating body ph. If your kidneys are healthy and your diet isn't *extremely* acidic or alkaline, your body will regulate its ph just fine.

Agree, drinking enough is the most important, especially for your kidneys.

Strips can be used for saliva too. They say that their strips are not good for measuring water, but it works for me just fine. So please try measuring you morning saliva and then a while after drinking that alkalizing water.
