I am early into my detox...the monster headache has come back. I want to know what your experience is with detox in the beginning. How long did it last? What did it consist of? Etcetera...

Well, the first week I had lots of headaches and dizziness. I also had what felt like a major flu and cold. My nose was running constantly. My throat absolutely killed. It only lasted about 5 days though. After that I felt better. Then a few months later, the same thing happened again. It only lasted about 3 days that time. The only thing that got me through it was knowing that I would be better off in the end. It is so worth it. I know I questioned this lifestyle when I was going through these cleansing periods. If you are doing this, be confident in knowing that you are absolutely on the path to excellent health and nutrition. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.

awesome...it sounds like I am having the exact same experience you had...really, totally the same symptoms that you described...that is very reassuring. I am having a craving for a hot dog and french fries so instead I am making some green peppers, zucchini, and tomatoes with some spices and sea salt to satisfy the urge. I did that last night when I was feeling like crap, too, and feeling sorry for myself and it was a real treat. :) Thanks for your help!

The dizzy part scared me because it was almost 2 weeks as I recall and my bowels were strange along with it. Another time I got severe back pain and I hadn't read that back pain was a part of detox - but the thread on here by Alissa does say you will get pains so I could have deduced what it was but no I needed the reassurance of the people here - and I got it. I am sure that I have a whole lot of detox to go but not today. The emotional detox part people have shared on here about it and I haven't gotten there yet either....just hope I don't embarrass myself at work when it does happen - or if I have to cry for hours like people here have written about - please God let it be on my day off! LOL At first when I was reading other threads on here I wasn't sure when people wrote "ED" if they were referencing emotional detox or eating disorder. If there is a place on here where they have raw terms like "high raw" in definition it might be helpful for people that came here as ignorant as myself!
