I feel like im eating the same stuff for every meal. Although they sound yummy Im not interested in making any of the recipes in Alissas book cause they all have loads to nuts. they irritate my tummy if I eat too much plus Im trying to lose weight (with a hypothyroid). Anyone have any veggie suggestions besides chopped salads and lettuce wraps?

What about Red Pepper Soup? I blend red peppers, an avocado, one tomato, a dash of agave, a dash of salt, and a dash of cumin. Sprinkle diced scallion on top. Sometimes I add cashew cream on top, but you won't want to if avoiding nuts.

It's a nice and creamy soup! Right now it is my favorite.

I dont have a dehydrator so I havent made crackers. I got some raw ones yesterday from whole foods but Im not sure how I feel about packaged raw food? I might have that for dinner but most of the dips are nuts except guacamole (yumm by the way :) )

I just dont know about the cold soup you guys. I cant bring myself to eat it. I LOVE hot soup and hate gaspacho so I just dont know

I appreciate all the help though! :D

I hear ya on feeling like you're always eating the same thing! My current favorite is tomato slices (1/4" thick) with bread crumbs (I dehydrate sprouted wheat and pulse it in my blender to a coarse flour consistency), seasonings (your choice - I like to use prepared seasoning mixes), salt, and olive oil drizzled on top. I could eat that every day (wait . . . I do!)

there is a thread goin on right now. "low-fat, low-glycemic meals" check it out. and your soups do not have to cold. i dont enjoy cold soups, either. banana search "what to eat on a cold day" soups can be made with seasones warm water and dehdrated veggies. it taste almost exactly like cooked soup.
marinated kale or other greens
slaws (i love the kfc coleslaw)
veggies are a great option for quick weight loss and energy....

I guess it just come down to how much do you want to succeed? This LifeStyle take a lot of Courage, and I know you have plenty of that or you never would have got off the Bus at this Form.

I want to encourage you to eat it over and over again if it will help you reach your destination. I realize nuts contain more fat that vegetables, try Flax Seed, they are loaded with Omega 3 and can satisfy some of your bordem.

If you do not have a dehydrator, take advantage of this wonderful Sunshine we are having and make Crackers and dry them in the SUN.

My other Sister have given you some great advice and some solutions to your problem. We are having the best weather for eating Cold Soup plus it can be warmed up in the SUNSHING....

So turn the page, eat up and always remember that we are here to help you and have your best interest at hand. For we only succeed if YOU succeed.........
