My friend said that she thought for sure I would know what this is.........
She met some really healthy girl (not raw) that was eating "pulse" and talking about how expensive it was. My friend said that she was sure I could make it, but I have no idea what it is! I asked to see if she meant "dulse" but she was certain this girl called it "pulse."

My friend is not really open to me talking to her about raw but I gave her information about how I can get the nutrients that my body needs through raw fruits and vegetables and eliminating the processed starches, etc. I asked her if this "food" was heated about 115 but she said it's mostly nuts and seeds........?

Anyway, just curious! Thanks!

Maybe she did hear wrong. The only pulse I know of is a heartbeat and you can't eat that. So maybe it was dulse............

No, there is some kind of food pulse. I've never heard of it but tried googling "pulse food" and found a couple small things. There's some pulse food books out there, looked like recipe books. Some concoctions of fruits and seeds maybe, if I remember right. Curious to see more about it from someone who knows however.

I think I've heard some people from New Zealand or Australia talking about eating pulses. I assumed they meant greens. But I just looked it up and apparently it is legumes.

Pulse is "healthy" recipes using primarily beans, lentils, chickpeas, peas, nuts, seeds, and fruit. They cook some recipes, but alot aren't cooked.

"Pulse" is also a whole food product that is manufactured by "BrainGarden". They used to claim that it was all raw whole foods in every bar or can... but they have since taken off that claim from their website. I tried using them to transition into raw, but it cost me an arm and a leg!

Pulse is simply another term for bean, as is legume. Not sure what your friend is eating, though.

Well on this side of the world the word "Pulse" means legume.
If we are discussing food groups pulses are considered a group. It would mostly be beans peas and lentils.
It is a term I hear a lot because invariably people will ask me if I eat a lot of pulses when they hear that I am vegan.
