Hi raw family, well, it must be time for me to start another thread. LOL

I have been on raw for about 5 months now, and losing although it comes in spurts, and what I have found out is this.

I mostly eat fruits, or fruit juice (OJ) and then I may have one burger patty or some rawviolies with marinara sauce for dinner, so I am getting some nuts in there, not many.

when I eat a salad, I lose weight, now I've eaten fruits, fruits, fruits, and I lose a little consistantly, but when I eat a salad, even when loaded with oil and vinegar dressing, I lose weight, now I don't know why this is, I thought I would just share this.

I have cut down on the nuts and fats, and I just consistantly lose slowly, and I didn't eat a salad for any specific reason, I went to lunch with a friend, and they didn't have fresh fruit, so I got a garden salad, with oil and vinegar dressing, and I lost 3 pounds since yesterday, I just thought I would share with you all.

It may be the greens, or it may be the change from one food to another, which is my belief,

anyway just thought I'd share, and see if anyone else had this same experience, where changing your food intake, no matter if it is more or less oils, nuts, sugars, made a difference, in weight loss etc.

I do know that if I have ANY black olives, it keeps me up at night, hard to sleep, I think it is the salt, even supposedly raw olives, but that may just be me.

Hi RP I certainly notice when i stuick more to salads greens ect that I lose weight but if I have the nuts and fruit I just gain like crazy. It is so interesting to see how each of our bodies react differently on the raw diet. Thanks for your observation and insight as always.
Blessings to you
Karen

I do best with greens & some oil. A lot of nuts make me gain and bloat as well. I haven't tried a lot of fruit yet, they have a tendency to be too sweet for me, but I am learning which one's I can tolerate.
