In a newsletter of Victoria Boutenko (sad, but I throw it away) I did read that the most important of raw is for her that raw = life force and
not raw = dead.

- If you put a roasted seed in the ground, nothing will grow;
- if you put a raw or soaked seed in the same place, life is floating and
whole trees will blossom!)

And I add to this than seeds have been found in the grave of Toetanchamon
in Egypt which were still fertile after so many years (raw seeds...)

- So I was wondering how about dehydrated seeds?

Anyone ever tried to put dehydrated seeds in the ground to see if
life will come out of these? I am just wondering

I seem to recall that someone here experimented with sprouting dehydrated seeds a few months ago and they sprouted. If they will sprout then they will grow.

YES, dehydrated seeds will grow, there has been alot of research on that.

Sure, that makes sense. Seeds lie dormant on and in the ground, and around here at least, lying in direct sun will surely reach well over 100 degrees for weeks or months at a time. Then it cools off, the rain comes, and they sprout! Not that different than being in a dehydrator at 115 degrees for a few hours, surely.

Nature as a dehydrator, life is beautifull

I threw out pieces of dehydrated crakers my daughter had left lying around, and one piece must have fallen beside the compost bin instead of in it.... well, a few days later I notice beautiful, lush growing sprouts! and when I looked closer I recognized the flax cracker! :)
So, yes, dehydrated seeds still contain life and can sprout.

I've sprouted dried lentils and chickpeas, so why not other seeds? :D
