How much less sleep do you need since going raw? I am trying to determine why I am not sleeping much anymore so some ideas from others would help.

I sleep less . . . I high raw. Currently I get about 5-6 hours a sleep at night. I'm also older now, 52, and I'm not sure if that also doesn't play a part in needing less sleep. Seems to me older people sleep less (not that I'm older yet, but getting there :D )

I'm eating raw for about three months and seem to be needing less sleep. However, it's not really significant or that obvious yet, so I can't say much about it. Are you raw for a long time now? If you do a search on this forum, you will find lots of threads about sleep. There are a lot of raw foodists who gain(ed) more energy and need(ed) less sleep in time.

My experience / opinion:

-I've seen a wide cross-section of notes from raw foodists. It seems that without the irritant of poor food choices - and self-recrimination.......that many gain new energy.....and require less sleep. While others, going through changes....often require more.

-My own experience is that I AM comfortable sleeping a little less - about 7 hours a night......although I am fine with 9.
