I just tried the Living Intentions Nuts which are the same type of nuts and they're way too addicting. I ate the whole thing in one sitting and I'm sure I would have ate more if I had them. For me, it's a good chip replacement.

They're raw, organic sprouted nuts that have a combination of herbs to give it a great flavor. They look simple to make for those that like to create they're own.
ok, DO NOT hold me responsible for any ensuing addictions! They're available at http://www.livingnutz.com and at several health food stores nationwide.
I've made something like them at home... gotta soak the almonds, then season them, then dehydrate them for a LOOOONG time and they were pretty good, but it's so much easier to just order them ;)
I've got two bags left... and I'm supposed to be cutting back on my food today and tomorrow for the "So Easy" cleanse... I'm going to have to ask a family member to hide them

Kmik, were you like that with chips too? I could sit and eat a whole big bag of chips. And a pint of ice cream. :o I do feel better about overeating on raw.

You are so funny Krista. yep I guess you're right, you had 3 bags yesterday so yep must mean only 1 1/2 today LOL!!!! :D
GG, no not chips, but EVERYTHING else. Yes, I feel less guilty about overeating raw food... although it does make me wonder if Nama Shoyu is too much like MSG for me, because things with Nama Shoyu are the things I overeat.
Karen... good, then I'm right on track :) Tomorrow at 25% I'll get to finish what's left... then cleansing time for me!

Next time you can do what I did & get 1 or 2 bags at a time as a special treat. I've found anything that is too addicting, can't be in my home.

Thanks for the link! I have to get all these links together and give to my hubby so he can know things that I would like that are out of budget. I'd like to know what the recipe is. Meanwhile if I take raw almonds and soak them in tamari and dehydrate them - is that considered unhealthful?
GG... but the other side of my brain says "buy a lot at once... more economical!"
luckitri... I don't know if there's raw tamari, but I first soaked them in water, then in nama shoyu and some other seasonings. then dehydrated it until real crunchy.

I did not know what this nama shoyu is that I have seen mentioned here but it was easy to look up. Shoyu does have wheat as part of it and it is the original soy sauce that Japanese have been using since 1600's. It is fermented. Tamari was originally liquid pressed from fermenting soybeans into miso but now it is brewed. No wheat in tamari.

Are the spices (other seasonings) a secret? If I need to buy a book please advise which one.
