Purplish tint on the eyelids

My husband has had a line of purplish color on his eyelid for years and I'm wondering if it is a deficiency of some kind. He's not raw but loves to eat my raw meals......if I know what I can do about this I'll feed him more of a certain kind of veggie! The line is kind of like a natural eyeliner on his upper eye lid! It's just above his eyelashes.

For many years now my friend occasionally says to me "you are wearing eyeshaddow" and finds it hard to accept that I am not.
This has always been the case. My eyelids are a purplish brown.
I never wondered why and do not think that I am deficient in anything but may learn from this thread.
