I opened my first baby coconut!!!!! *happy dance*
No loss of fingers or even a drop of blood!
I actually threw my hands up and cheered for myself :p :D
I'm not sure the coconut was very good, however. The inside smelled sort of.... hmm, well, the liquid wasn't clear, more like a pale amber. The flesh inside was also mostly a squishy gelatinous texture with a few patches of the firmer white flesh. Was this one over-ripe or underripe?
Now that I know I can DO IT! (yay!) I think I need some tips on picking out the best baby coconuts.
Any tips??? :D
