b4 i forget...another one of my creations...i didn't really measure anything:

a bunch of cashews ground up
a bunch of sunflower seeds ground up
a handfull of cacao nibs ground up
a handfull of carob powder
a bunch of agave syrup
a little bit of water (just enough to make doughy texture)

mix everything together by hand (not in processor)

either form little patties and dehydrate to make brownies (note that they won't dehydrate all the way, cause the high fat content)

or roll into balls and freeze, for yummy treat :)

ENJOY

YUm, thanks for sharing, I'm thinking of rolling into balls then rolling coconut then fridge..

Perfect timing, I'm going through a 'sweet' phase at the moment.

I'm absolutely drowning in a "sweets" phase, too! These sound delicious. I missed the cacao nibs thread, though, so I'll have to search for it and then order, I guess. I'm dreaming of chocolate!

You're being so creative, A_R!

Autumn- I just got my cacao nibs through www.rawfood.com- they are like $25 a bag, so be ready for that! I also ordered Agave from them too- (This is the same place Amethyst got hers...) They sent me a complimentary jar of raw olives with my order which I thought was very nice!

Amethyst- I got my order today of the Cacao nibs... boy are they bitter- but lovely! I am going to the market to buy some young coconuts and I will try to make a chocolate coconut smoothie- I can hardly wait! I will try this fudge though- sounds great!!!!

Thanks again- Melissa

Okay- I just made this-

Oh my God! This can't be RAW??? Seriously guys- this is AWESOME-

Not just a little good- a whole lot good!

Amethyst- you are a genious! Brownies- better than the SAD version- unbelievable!

I put all the ground stuff in the processor until it was powder- then I dumped it into a bowl and put about 4-5 tablespoons of agave and just spurts of water until I could mix it (keep it thick- just moisten with the water-)

Then I used my meatball maker and made fudge brownie balls to put in the freezer- I just licked the bowl clean! It was the best treat so far since I have been raw! Can't wait to taste them cold!

Thanks again Amethyst!

hahaha...i'm so glad you like it!!! i know, i'm so excited about that too...they are really amazing...and yes i get my cacao as well as the agave from Nature's First Law...i know they are really expensive, but i think it's worth it, since we know for sure that these are very high organic quality...did you get the pamphlet on them, too....it's very informative, hey...and yeah, they are very bitter, and you kinda have to get used to it...but so good...and so good for you...David Wolfe eats them every day...no wonder he's always so happy :)

Boy does this recipe sound fantastic.

I have got to order some raw cocoa, the price is just more than I can tollerate.

$25 for one pound.

I know you can get the agave necter on eBay, really inexpensive prices too. I have seen it there, and know people who buy it. It is great.

I use alot of medjool dates, honey dates, and sometimes, depending on the recipe I use honey, although it comes from bees, and is supposed to feed baby bees. I (once in a blue moon) use it if the recipe calls for it.

I grow stevia in my herb garden and it is really a great sweetener too.

Has anyone else tried fresh stevia in recipes? Or just me? It is a little difficult to get used to, because you use so little, and it sweetens so much, but there is no sticky with it, it is just green.

I know stevia comes in a brown liquid and a white powder in the health food store, but I dought if this is actually raw. So my hubby grows it for me in our herb garden.

I also dehydrate it at 95degrees, and dry it to use in the winter time. It really is a great sweetener, without the bulk of dates, or the stickiness of dates or honey.

Let me know what you all think of using stevia fresh.

Blessings,
Rawpriestess

I will make them right now!
Is there such a thing as Raw Cacao powder? I got some from a regular store in bulk, but I think that is not raw or it would be mentionned.
Can anyone let me know.
I also can use only the carob.

Mieke...yes there is raw cacao...but it's hard to find...i doubt that you can get it at your regular store...i get mine from Nature's First Law, and there are other websites that sell it...it's the actual raw cacao bean, cut into little pieces (also called cacao nibs) you have to grind them in a spice grinder to make into powder...the recipe would still be good just with carob though :)

Raw Priestess, i wanna grow Stevia, too next summer but don't know if it grows here...should i get it started in-doors in a pot? i always thought of picking some up at the healthstore, but like you said...who knows what they do to it...hmmmmm
