I posted requesting ideas for countering the debilitating fatigue I've encountered every time I'd tried to go 100% raw and in fact even 100% Veggie. You all gave me great ideas and I made the decision to commit to following Alissa's 4 week menu found in her book.
Well here it is 4 weeks later and I did it! I feel great, full of energy. My husband says he thinks this is really agreeing with me and that I look healthier. (I wasn't all that unhealthy to begin with so I take this as a real compliment.)
I've actually been raw for about 6 or maybe even as much as 8 weeks as I've been following my intuition where food is concerned and it led me to eat less and less cooked food.
Last night we went out to eat and I had given myself permission to eat a little of the organic pizza that the restaurant specializes in but was surprised to be totally content with the organic salad I ordered along with the sunflower seeds I added, a veggie flax cracker and a Berry bar for dessert.
I'm planning on commiting to another 4 weeks raw using Alissa's menus but subbing new recipes for a few of the planned ones. Today I made her blueberry cheesecake to celebrate!
so once more, thanks to you all,
Lannette
