I'm in one of those very uncreative phases. :(

What do you feed your kids that is ALWAYS a winner! I am really in need of dinner suggestions.

For us it's:

fruit of all kinds
bags of nut & raisins
smoothies
dehydrated thumb print cookies
Zucchini pasta

Thanks!

Adorable kids, I have known of my own, but if I did I would try to include them in preparing them so they can have fun making foods and when they get older they will know how to make healthy yummies.

Guacomle is ALWAYS a hit no matter what.

Any type of fruit

She loves salads now with any variety of greens. I make sure to break up the leaves really small so they'll be more her size.

Pesto

Eggplant pizzas with tomato sauce and tahini cheese sauce (tahini, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, water)

That's all I can think of now. I have a pretty picky eater here but I must say I'm not the best "cook" either. If I was a better one maybe she wouldn't be so picky :)

My grandson's "favorites" changes occasionally. Right now his favorite is bananas sliced up and sprinkled with raw sunflower seeds. Grapes are his 2nd choice, with a banana/strawberry smoothie running in 3rd. A few weeks back he couldn't get enough watermelon or cantaloupe. Other than the bananas/sunflower seeds and the smoothie we don't prepare dishes, just eat whole fruits and on a rare occasion can get him to eat some salad. Oh yeah, I do occassionally make some almond cookies (almonds, honey & coconut).

My youngest are 2.5 and 3.5 so mono eating finger foods works well for them still.

cherry or grape tomatoes

strawberries

bananas

When I'm creative

I freeze grapes, then mix in fresh strawberry slices and orange segments just for variety

The also like the greek style salads we make in olive oil with diced cuccumbers
green inion, olives and tomatoes

Pecans

THINK BARS ( which I hope to make my own version of today if I can find some dates.

All my children love fruit smoothies

My children really like dehydrated bread with Alissa's swiss cheese, sliced avocado, and mustard (you can make your own by grinding mustard seeds and adding a little apple cider vinegar; it's spicy, though).

My son loves berries of all kinds and melon. And we just made sliced bananas topped with pecans and raisins and it was a big hit!
