I've decided tonight that i've definitely wasted too much time thinking and anticipating going raw, while i could have just been doing it! So, i'm starting now!!
I guess i took the easy way out--starting out at the end of the day, but i'm just tired of regretting what i've eaten after every meal.
So, i've made my statement and that's it, hopefully i'll have a great before AND AFTER story to tell you all in a few months!
In the meantime, this site definitely provides the support people need to get revved up!
By the way....what do you eat on an average day? When I think of going raw again, I think simple fruits and vegetables, and then really elaborate gourmet raw meals. I'm trying to find that place in the middle to easily transition raw into mylifestyle.
BEst!!

Hi Kristen,
To see what people eat, I suggest you browse the journals. That'll not only tell you what daily eating can look like, but you'll also get to see the struggles and triumphs of those on the 30-day journey.
Also, do you have Alissa's book and/or DVD yet? If not, it'll definitely answer your questions, in addition to giving you 4 weeks of shopping lists and menus to help you through. There are so very many books out there in addition to hers. If you look through the forum threads, you'll see many mentioned. Or, you can ask directly on a forum or through PMs.
Good luck. It's definitely worth it. And, you'll get soooo much support here!

Hi Kristen. I too suggest that you read through the 30 day Challenge journals. That is how I got started. It gave me a real good idea what other people were eating. I need to do that again. I am running out of ideas to eat and am beginning to fall into a rut of the same foods over and over.
Great to see you hear and I want to welcome you and wish you great success on your Raw journey. :)

To steal a quote from Emmaann's profile: "Act your way into a new way of thinking rather than think your way into a new way of acting". I love that. :o
Welcome to a great decision.
I think it's a great idea you are taking charge of your health NOW!
It doesn't matter when NOW is. Good for you!
Congratulations VeganKristan,
I've only been a member of the 'raw community' for short while, about 5 weeks now, but think this site is one of the most informative and helpful.
You know when the time is right for you and it looks like you've finally made the choice. Good Luck. I've kept it fairly simple (food wise) until this week. Received Alissa's book last week and prepared my first recipe last night - The date nut torte. I kept seeing posts about how good it was and made it. Everyone was 100% correct. Even my non-raw hubby really enjoyed it. I think you'll get great inspirations by reading other member's journals. Take Care and have fun, no matter what you do.
Life's a journey, enjoy the rawide ;)

Welcome, Welcome, Vegankristen,
Oh what a journey you will be on in the Delights of the Garden. It is so much to learn, so much to experince, and so much to enjoy. Take your time, perfection is not the goal, the benefits are. Enjoy and savor everything that is going to change for you.
Puruse the recipes, the journals and the threads, ask as many questions as you need to - remember that the only question not asked is the stupid question.
