This isn't a pity call..I just wanted to let you guys know I've been on a week-long "eat-everything-I've-avoided-for-three-months" binge and I feel sooo gross..I've put on 7 lbs, my skin is breaking out and I feel so defeated!!!
I think it's because I'm anxious to go back to school, bored, and the fact I haven't been *into* my raw foods as much lately...yuck.
I'm moving back to school on Sunday so I'm thinking of doing a short juice/water fast until then just to give my system a break and get some sort of control back...I don't even want to think about what I've been putting in my body.
What's the best way to forgive myself and most importantly, STOP this madness???

I totally empathize with you b/c I am right there with you. It started very small with some cooked quinoa, moved to lattes with soy milk to cheddar cheese sesame sticks to regular chips and salsa.
I will not be defeated. And you won't either. Let us "get back on our horses" and start anew. This moment is new. It is up to us.

I hear you :(
I do it, and currently am. When I go *off* I totally binge, not even hungry, just wanting to eat everything I won't get to again, and then feel totally sick.
Tomorrow, I'm starting the 30 day challenge- maybe something like that will get you back on track?

I would say, give yourself a big hug and jump back in. You know the drill. It'll be easier. Possibly some cravings the first few days, but be prepared and jump back in. Perhaps journal or talk to somebody about the emotional things you're going through. Maybe do a day all raw, then do some light fasting if you're really drawn to it. Check in with your body, and see what you need. It happens to everybody.. it's just a lovely lesson. Enjoy :)

I also have had a really bad time in July and gained almost 8 pounds. I am now back on track and try not be too hard to myself and just get one step closer to 100% raw every day.
cheers, mel

Hello there,
I wouldn't recommend any sort of fast at this point. That might make you feel more deprived. I recommend focusing on the wonderful abundance of delicious raw food. Sit down and write yourself a list of everything that you can think of that is raw that you really, really like. Write down every single fruit, veggie, nut, seed and recipe. Then go out and do some shopping, surround yourself with lots of raw deliciousness and focus on abundance, health and happiness! You can do it!!!
In light,
Audrey

I am with you! Giddyup! *galloping full speed ahead!*
I had a horrible cooked food binge in Monterey. Gained 10 pounds in a weekend!
I missed my raw fruits and veggies.
