Does anyone know if balsamic vinegar is raw or ok for the raw diet? I've been wondering about this for awhile now. I've also heard that only apple cider vinegar was the only vinegar that was raw and ok for raw diets. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks!!

...there's also Eden Red Wine Vinegar, raw and unpasteurized

If I'm not mistaken, balsamic vinagar is made from grapes that have been reduce then fermented? So it shouldn't be raw.

Here's an article on vinagars that may be helpful http://www.wildoats.com/redesign/hn.php?org=wildoats&ContentID=3646006 (Wholefoods: Vinagars)

Thanks. I had heard something like that, that it was made from grapes and then fermented, but wasn't sure.

Opinion:

-If it's not fresh from a plant - then it aint as healthy as you can get! Ha! ha! But I think eating vinegar is great if it helps you to eat more of the above! You are asking the right questions!

-Power to you.
