There is an saying from the locals where I live that I have never used before. But it immediately came to mind after what I ate last eve. Apparently I am "workin' on stupid".

I am currently high raw working toward 100% slowly since I am very stubborn. This past week I traded my evening brew for organic wine (I know still not completely healthy, but raw) and have been eating raw throughout the day with the exception of my morning coffee (which will be my last hold out, I imagine).

After a VERY high stress trying day, cravings kicked in and I took it upon myself to eat a battered fried onion and also have a beer with it. This was a HUGE mistake as I paid for it immediately afterward and downed antacids all night, slept horrible and my stomach and body is still paying for it today. :(

One would think that after I eat awful meals and feel awful, that I would stop doing it! But noooo, I continue to "work on stupid". This one was pretty bad, so hopfully I'll remember before I act next time. Oh and regarding the stress, the horrible eating did not make it better, it actually stresses my body and mind more.

The story of my life!!! Last week I ate some So Delicious ice cream sandwiches and I had the worse heartburn and all I could think about was eating more of them!! I don't get it! lol!

I do hope you feel better !

Well you must be really workin' on SMART because you are beautiful and you have progressed so much. Look how far you've come - you got so sick from the beer and onion rings that you are obviously in a cleaner place.

I had a bad experience from my last onion ring and last glass of wine as well. Well I didn't eat them together, lol. I couldn't imagine what kind of wine would go with an onion ring. You'd think white, but then they are so heavy that red comes to mind, ha.

If you eat something cooked and get a stomach upset from it, don't take antacids. Take ACV or enzymes.

Right, Pierre
I have tried Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of warm water and it is really quite soothing. I find it goes well with cold water as well and is really refreshing in the hotter weather. According to an old tradition, ACV can actually ward off food poisoning! After I heard that, whenever I was feeling upset in the stomach or even if I suspected that something I was fed might have a potential for spoilage, I would sneak down a glass of water with up to 1/4 c. of ACV and I had no problems after that. I pretty much swear by it. If you can't stand the idea, or know you hate it, think of it as medicine. The whole glass of water with it dilutes it, but if you aren't going to make it, then put it in less water and just down it. I have heard of people who add honey or maple syrup to it. I think that might be the recipe for an old old drink they used to make for the men who were on those threshing crews who went from farm to farm to help with the harvest.

I read in Your Body's Many Cries For Water that drinking 2 full glasses of water works just as well on indigestion.
