Yay i am so excited that i received Alissa's book today and i was wondering if i could make several of the recipes in the book and freeze them and eat them through out the week.
Does anyone freeze all of the recipes?
Will it keep the enzymes alive and active after being frozen?
Cause i get so bored on whole foods that i need to prepare fast convinance foods ahead of time.
Thanks in advance

I do this and I know others do to. Sure things are better fresh, but they are still good for you made and frozen to eat later.

For what I eat freezing does not work although I do understand what you are trying to achieve.
What I would recommend that work really well is to make up several things over a weekend that are lasting and assist in "throwing" together a meal.
What I have "pre"pared is:
1-2 dressings (Liquid Gold Elixer, ranch, My caffateria Vinagrette)
1-3 pates (Alissa's carrot pecan, Green Cheese)
2-3 sauces (Alissa's red marinara, Alissa's green Spring marinara)
1 dehydrated bread (onion)
1-2 dehydrates crakers (taco, sweet current cinnamon)
1-2 dessert (Alissa's Date Nut, RFRW Chocolate Ganach, cookies)
What is great about these is they have a long shelf life - well over a week.
I also always have on hand:
1 bag Avocados (Costco $5 for 6 or 8 I think)
Assorted greens(collards, chard, kale & salad) & fruit
Tomato, bell pepper & onion
I hope that helps! :D

Wow!! Thanks for the info-that really helps-I've been trying to find out how long some of the raw foods last when prepared. :)
Are the marinara sauces really good for a week?? Is there any special ingredient as a preservative I should be sure to add??

I also have a couple of staples in my fridge:
onion bread for my avo-tomato sandwiches
banana flax crackers for the sweet tooth
banana leather
enchilada
flax tortilla
brownies, sometimes rolled into balls
and well, a lot of nuts, fruits and veggies
I just noticed, no gourmet foods here - except maybe the enchilada and the flax tortilla.
cheers,

I once make Juliano's meat loaf and ate it for a week because there was so much of it. I think most things will keep just fine in plastic ware. I haven't tried freezing, don't think I would like all the water.

I hate to print this but my marinara is going into the THIRD week and it is still wonderful - lots of fresh garlic may be the reason! I found it a bit to garlicy but dehydrated is wonderful!
I do try to store in glass and keep then at the top of the fridge where it is coldest.
Zucchini Pizza:
. . . .try this, top & tail a large zucchini, slice lengthwise getting about 4 slices, the thicker the better. Spread Alissa's marinara on top add sliced bell pepper, onion & olives.
Put in dehydrator before you nip off to work and you will have dinner ready when you get home! These dont last long about 2 days.
If you do not have dehydrator this is great as is too :p

That looks sooooo Good!! Can't wait to make that Pizza. Yummy-the traditional pizza is so yukky to me, all that bread/dough-uugghhh!!
Thanks for sharing, and now I can make a big batch of sauce and enjoy for a bit!
My last batch, I added flax seed to it (freshly ground some of it) and made a flax cracker in the dehydrator, and sprinkled my raw parm on one side of it. It tasted pretty good.
Thanks again,
Adrian

I made fudge balls using RP's brownie recipe but adding coconut, coconut oil and vanilla. They've kept very well for a couple of weeks. I was told that coconut oil added to something will make it keep for a long time!
