"Examples of some complex carbohydrate foods that you can incorporate into your nutritious program are those made of bran, barley, cornmeal and other unrefined whole grains."
I'm in miami lakes, florida, Northwestern part of miami, and would like to know where to get that stuff, bran, barley, cornmeal and other unrefined whole grains.
And I usually buy foods at wal-mart and BJs, though sometimes my parents go to a store(s) called "Presidente" (president in spanish). And I hardly buy foods at publix.

Why do you want to add complex carbs to your diet.
It seems to me that most of the things that you mentioned will contribute nothing to your diet at best and will harm it at worst by taking up the space that you can use to take in simple carbs.
They will over tax your digestive system while giving you little or no nutrients.

I don't eat grains of any kind :)
I eat heaps and heaps of Fresh Raw fruits and veggies and I'm good to go!!
Nuts and seeds
I don't need the complex carbos of old that bogged me down.
Read a bit more about raw here and other places :)
LOTS of good reading..
Decide for yourself what level of raw you want to be.
For me??
100% All the way
71 days 100% today :)

You can purchase most anywhere yet, you're probably not going to go through whatever it would take to be able to use them raw. Where did you get that quote and why do you believe it?
Most people here who are on a quest for raw do not use these. Bran and cornmeal are refined btw. They have no seed; they have no life. They do not give life. (Not to say that EVERYthing many raw fooders eat gives life or has a seed yet, they usually do have life-giving properties.)

Well don't we need complex-carbs in your diet? And if you don't take complex-carbs, how long have you not been getting complex-carbs?
Also you get carbs from fruits right?

well I made some raw barley crackers a while back, but besides that I haven't had any of those things you mentioned in 4 months and I don't feel that we need them, but there is no right or wrong way so do what you feel is best for you. Yes fruits are loaded with carbs and they are easy to digest and full of life and great for you!

No you do not need these items in your diet and I can not imagine them being tasty enough to want for a treat.
I have been 100% raw for 13 months and find the thought of the items you mention very unapitizing.
Fruit has simple carbs that are easier to digest
