i have a bit of a sweet tooth lately!!!!!
i made the brownies, peach cobbler, cheesecake and caramel cream (for apple dipping) and let me say---------- YUMMMMMMMMM

any candy recipes anyone cares to share??
i love tootsie rolls, and caramel,
please post any recommendations..........

caramel

1 cup dates (pitted and unsoaked)
1/4 cup almond milk
1 dash sea salt
1 tsp vanilla extract, or 1 inch vanilla bean scraped
1 T raw honey

Mix all ingreients in a food processor until smooth and well blended.

to make caramels, place in an oiled (coconut oil or olive oil) shallow pan, and dehydrate until firm, aproximately 24 hours, cut into cubes and freeze for future use. Take out a few at a time to munch on.

For an icecream topping, simply add more almond milk until desired consistancy and pour onto banana ice cream. Top with chopped pecans and dehydrated cherries for a truly decadant dessert.

someone also made rounds out of this in the dehydrator, then wrapped apples for caramel apples too, they were great,I think it was truthseeker

I take RP's recipe for Caramel listed above, combine it with Alissa's Turtle recipe and dehydrate them until they are a bit solid. Delicious is an understatement and they are about the best raw or not raw candy I've ever had. And I am a candy and dessert-aholic!

I got some awesome dehydrated strawberries at the market. They taste almost like candy... the real version of those fruit shape snacks.

Actually.... I can't believe HOW chewy they are. They taste and feel like a cross between a fruit snack and chewy jam. The box was $6 - one more reason to want a dehydrator :rolleyes:
