What do you eat when you want something savory? I can't tell you what I'm craving right now because I don't know. Everything I think of just doesn't seem to do it for me.
Not fruit, it isn't something sweet. I tried Guac thinking the fats might do it but it didn't. The only thing I can think of that sounds really good is SAD.
What I really want is warm and smooshie, like a bean burrito. I know me and if I don't find something I'm going to blow it.
Does anyone have a good substitute?

The answer is PATE! Either with soaked nuts or garbanzos. Lots of GARLIC! Yum-O. Dip with raw crackers or veggie sticks. Also Eggless dips are great. :D

Well, tell ya if you find what it is? tell ME!
I have been feeling the very same today as you.
I haven't give in and I won't but it doesn't mean that I'm not thinking about those same thoughts.
I'll try some Cashews :)

If I need someting salty and can't decide what and don't want to put in forth lot of effort... I LOVE NORI SHEETS!!!!!! I use any combination of items; avocado, lettuce, tomato, greens, herbs, raw pates or bean or nut pastes, nutritional yeast, dressing, vinegar, etc.. The simpler the better! Somehow the minerals in the nori just hit the spot, no matter what. And if I have 5 of them, who cares? Yum, yum, I think I'll go creat one right now!!

Thanks everyone for your ideas.
I'll end up using them all. I don't know if it's the weather or the time of year but all of a sudden I'm craving things I haven't eaten since I was a kid.
I'll get thru it, I appreciate the help and support offered on this board. Everyone is always so helpful.

I am assuming you mean a soft bean burrito, which used to be my very favorite, this is what I do
either make Alissa's
enchilada corn wraps, or you can use a cabbage leaf--I do both,
then inside, you can put the meatloaf pate' without dehydration, or dehydrate the meatloaf then put it inside, then I chope up
tomatoes
white onion,
lettuce and
whatever else you want,
you can use her chedda sauce if you like,
or her cashew sour cream--my favorite, and eat.
I also add hot salsa to mine, this really tastes and has the texture of burritos.

I made a hummus recipe out of almonds that turned out really well. It could easily stand in for the soft bean mix if you season it right. You could wrap it in / or spread it on some of the suggestions above (try the onion bread !!!!!) and warm it in the dehydrator. I think that would kick any craving I would have!
I was this way last week....nuts ended up doing it for me. I wanted something warm too so I made cashew cheese stuffed mushrooms and put them in the dehydrater for a couple of hours.....rawviolies would probably work as well but I would warm them a bit too.....whatever you do just eat soooo much raw food that youre too full to eat any SAD.
