is it rediculous that ive gained weight? i hear people saying that they eat 4 or 5 bananas in one sitting...or 4 avacados etc....i feel bloated all the time and feel like ive gained. i weighed myself this AM and was .5 lbs heavier than just 2 days ago?!? I realize its only a half pound but if i continue eating this much fruit and veggies am I gonna gain more?
(sorry for the lowercase - im nursing some bad chronic back issues and am lying down with my laptop)

It's not unusual, especially when you are just starting off. The body is probably not used to all the wonderful water and fiber you're infusing into it, so it might puff up for awhile... Just keep strong, and stay raw.
Eat what feels right for you. I can't eat 4 bananas or I would explode LOL.

Well, your weight can shift in one day up to 5 pounds in normal life(even more if you very active or weather is very dry and so on). My weight is always changing, so I say it is 120, although it goes anywhere from 116 to 122, depending on the time of the day.
The other question would be about what do you eat? Raw fruits and vegetables do not make you gain weight. Dehydrated stuff, too many nuts and seeds, oils can to some degree if they are truly raw, but a lot, if they are not, and the only way to know it is to dry them yourself. Well, with seeds is easier-you simply sprout them.
Sundried things are not nessesarilly raw - any gardening book will tell you not to dry seeds in direct sun, because it will cook seeds and will make them useless.

In such a short time frame, it's hard to really know. I know for me, it's very usual to gain a little weight right before my period. How long have you been raw? How was your diet before?
I've been raw for a year, and somehow with my system, the bloat didn't go away and the fiber & nuts were just irritating the heck out of me and I gained weight. Or at least, it LOOKED like I did. I have found taking some time and focusing on blended food, and doing an intestinal cleanse to be immensely beneficial.
Also-- are you drinking a LOT of water?

Ive only been raw for a week so that could be it. My diet before was very similar but I ate a lot of egg whites. less food though. I usually drink a lot of water but didnt yesterday. <shrug> oh well....

there have been times that I gained 5 pounds in one day, UGH!!!
but it was ALWAYS when I had had salt the day before, so it could be water weight, and salt comes in many disguises, Nama shoyu, Braggs, salt, celery, etc, it is easy to retain water, so how do you get rid of too much water, flush it out with more water, YEP, drink lots of water.
also, you may be bloating-- which causes weight gain--- if you are eating fruit with nuts , or eating fruit after you are eating anything else, this can cause the fruit to ferment in your colon, instead of slide right through, just know it will pass, and it can be uncomfortable for a while, bloating, gas etc.
but you'll make it, just keep eating raw.
