WOW! I just LOVE this food!!

Coming from a meat with every meal, buttered breads, yes always a salad along with supper but cooked vegetables, cooked desserts, great southern cooking, it has frequently been hard for me to believe, since I started this Raw Way as I am thinking of it, that it could taste SO good! Tonight I made Collard Rollups with coconut milk as our beverage, grapes as a complimentary side dish and strawberry banana ice cream with raw carob syrup and cinnamon on top, and I have never eaten any better in my life and I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in America, Vancouver, and India. I hope you are all blown away as much as I am by how this all tastes and how marvelously easy the food is to prepare as a rule. There has only been one thing so far that I haven't liked a whole lot which is raw pasta (thin sliced squashes and/or bean sprouts) but it is still quite edible with the great sauces Alissa has in the book. Any way my headache is gone for the moment at least and instead of whining I just had to crow!!

Hi Xanadu, I hear you it is simply amazing how raw foods can taste so good, how can you not love this stuff especially with all the wonderful recipes that go along with it. Your meal sounds wonderful by the way. I find it hard sometimes trying to expalin raw foods to a SAD eater they just think it's all about a carrots and salad thats it. They don't quite understand until they actually can taste it. What a wonderful way of life we have found. To your health and well being.

I remember reading in Juliano's book "RAW", that he eats this way because of the taste.
