Ok, I am a 16 year old male and I wanna start a raw diet of sorts. I am basically doing this to see if I have the discipline (which I think I do since I was never one for sweets. I am cutting out all dairy and pretty much all wheat/cereal/bread. I just want to know what it is I should be eating at my age if I do light weights and 45 minutes of cardio pretty much every day. It has been recomended to me that I eat SOME beef every so often. I can eat tuna everyday though. I am not trying to go overboard, but I am getting all my stuff from a organic food store so absolutley nothing is treated. My diet I think will consist of mostly vegetables, but I don't know. My main enemy here is corn because its in literaly everything.
I am in school for seven hours of the day so I have to plan all of my meals around that. I need to know what kind of meals I could eat and if I should add some variety to it so I don't eat the same 5 or 6 meals a day.
Some help would be GREATLY appreciated and I hope to start this as soon as possible.

Wishing you success on your journey.
My advice, fwiw, is that you check out Doug Graham's philosophy at www.foodnsport.com (http://www.foodnsport.com)
All the information you need to get started is right there on his sight. Be sure to read through the FAQ entries. You can download the entire FAQ as a pdf document too.
Also, don't limit your research. Read as much information from as many sources as possible and decide for yourself how best to succeed. Find some role models and learn and do what they did to be successful.
Paul Nison's "The Raw Life" is a good book to get started.
Be sure to allow yourself enough time to transition. Its likely that you might slip over the course of your transition. When this does happen, resolve to get back on track and moving in the right direction.
Start by increasing the amount of whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic fruits and vegetables. Before you know it, you'll master your newfound approach to eating.
Best of luck to you. I wish I would've found this way-of-eating at 16 instead of 42!
Cheers,
Fiddler

Hey and welcome :)
My son is 17 and he is just getting into eating raw. He plays Football, weight lifts and he wrestles. He still eats some SAD food but he is starting to see how much better he feels eating Raw.
He has been looking at the Health Ranger site.. sec I'll get it.

My only real suggestion is to pack your own lunch because even if your school has a salad bar you need to have more control over when you are hungry and what you can eat. It will help from going back to SAD eating.
I have to say that I am impressed that you have decided to give raw a try and whatever your reasons, they are REALLY WISE.
If I knew at 16 what I know now? My life would have been very very different and I would have enjoyed and protected my health.
Final word of advice, Stay here and read a lot and no matter where in the world you go and whatever path you take, The Raw journey is here waiting you. Be wise and walk it :)
