Has anyone had tremendous weightloss very quickly. When I originally went raw in 2002 i lost 50 lbs in the first 2 months and ate about 600.00 worth of fruits and veggies a month. Tons of nuts too, my favorite recipe back then was Julianos Mock mashed potatoes.

and I ate Nori wraps with a cashew/red bell pate.

Just recently I lost 18 lbs in one week eating raw and using JUVO for 2 meals a day and a fruit smoothie like pineapple strawberry for dinner.

Im down 23 so far very quickly and feel great. I think raw weightloss is revolutionary and should be marketed as such, because unlike all other "diets"
RAW CAN LEAD TO OPTIMUM HEALTH, NOT JUST OPTIMUM WEIGHT!!!

i hit a stanstill a few years back at around 190 lbs from 250...........i started walking from 5 to 10 miles a day in Mt Shasta which i called my walks of appreciation................do to Shastas beauty i would never wear headphones to listen to music, i just wanted to appreciate its glory.

i proceeded to get down to 183

3 years later i had given up raw gained 100 lbs and lost 100k in a restaurant venture............

here i go again and doing ok, but it seems so much harder at 46 than at 42. I had also hit a high weight of near 290, 3 years ago I was 250, so the intial weightloss was so much more noticable.

try the no nuts and walking more and see what happens............your body will regulate and normalize, youll be great

good luck

cdepalmer,

I've been kind of at a standstill also...i have about 30 more lbs to lose. I recently read Carlene's journal and her site (www.rawfoodbootcamp.com), and I think she had some good suggestions (she lost 136 lbs in nine months, which, to me, is no small feat). She said to cut fat down to 20% of your diet (for me, that's about half to 3/4 an avocado), and to cut out salt, and keep the bananas to a minimum. I thought that was good advice, and I'm going to work on doing those things (the salt's the hardest one for me...:)).

I've been raw since June 29th with three oopses.

I've lost 14 pounds. I have 24 more to go.

This is by far the easiest way I've ever lost weight. I was once over 200 pounds, and I've been as light as 118, but I've never lost weight "healthfully". It's always been deprivation or an ED, or trying those awful SlimFast things... or Atkins. Yuck.

However, I went raw because of all the health issues I had. I've had chronic pain for over 2 years, and even had my (perfectly good) gallbladder removed, it only made things worse. I've been on medication after medication for Gastric issues, and have tried acupuncture, medications and meditation for my pain with no results, or with very limited results. I've been on medications for bipolar, depression and mild psychosis and sleep disorders for about 2 years. I've seen doctor after doctor for my physical ailments.

In the 7 weeks since going raw, I've cut out every single one of my Gastric medications. I have lowered dosages on the "mental" meds by 2/3 and by half. My chronic pain is gone. My intestinal issues are gone. My stomach issues are gone. My mind is clearer, and my heart is lighter.

Raw is good to me :D

I weighed 84 kg when I started keeping records a year ago. That doesn't sound like much, but I'm only 1.51 m tall. That means my BMI was 37. My weight went up and down a little bit and was 81 in June when I started on raw. I lost four kilos within two weeks, then plateaued for a month, and now I'm down to 74.

I never was one to figure what my ideal weight should be, I just figured that if I eat healthy food, my body would tend to a good weight.

My WHR was 80%, and still is, which is considered pear for men. But last year it was 102/127 - now it's 95/119.
