This past week, I didn't so great with raw. It seems I will go for a week or so doing really well, and then I'll drop it. This week, I started eating so badly and drinking diet sprite. I felt AWFUL!!!! This is totally not worth it. All the diet sprite and crap food is not worth what I felt like this week. I graduated from college yesterday, and I decided that this is a new beginning. I couldn't even enjoy the day cause I felt so awful. I got a horrible migraine and went to bed at 2:30 in the afternoon and didn't get up until 8:30am this morning. I did get up once to throw up. It was just awful. Now that I have the aspartame out of my system, I feel much better. I have learned my lesson. Nothing is worth it if it makes me feel that badly. The very thought of any diet soda right now makes me wanna hurl. Why did anyone ever invent such a rancid drink???????? I think they should be shot. Sometimes it takes a really low point to make us rise up and do what's right for ourselves.

Hi there,
You are right, it is experiences like these that help us stay motivated and focused on our health goals. While I'm sorry you didn't feel well, it is actually good that you had this experience because now can remember this feeling whenever you are tempted again. I learned that a few minutes of "pleasure" was not worth a couple a couple of days of pain and remembering this really helped me stay 100% raw.
Congratulations on graduating!!!
All the best,
Audrey

congratulations on your graduation
and I hope you feel better soon,
I must admit that feeling terrible when I eat cooked, is one of the many motivations that continue to keep me on the raw path.

purtyflowrr, I am so sorry that you had that cruddy SAD feeling on your Graduation Day no fun at all, but CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU IN YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS. What a great way for you to think about getting back into raw an new beginning all around. I know we have all had our downfalls with cooked foods and then feel so awful that we see the error of our ways, we may go back and forth with this many times but the fact is we know in our heart of hearts that raw really is the way for us. It's just all about the journey on a very bumpy road we just need to make sure we keep the Dept of Transportation Team keeps working way ahead of us filling those pot holes along the way so we have a smooth journey while crusing along the serene highway of raw :D.
Take Care
Blessings

Life is balance
They make the poison diet drinks and WE DON'T have to drink them..

congrats on your graduation! Don't shoot anyone. :) No, not even the makers of aspartame. I'm sure they'll eventually pay for what they've done. Karma, baby. :)
Hope you're feeling better.
