whats the shortest fast you can do that you will derive benefit from? i know that i would not be able to jump right in and do a weeks fast. i would probably end up binge eating.
so how should one start?

CO SIGNS WITH PATH..........
I think dinner vs breakfast is ideal..........try to end the nite with water or fasting on juice.

Paul Bragg "the Miracle of Fasting"
said there was tremendous benefit in a once a week 24 to 36 hour fast
i have done many fasts, i feel they all have benefit. Just be careful breaking them.
I have had huge binges after a few.
My longest is 9 days and I only do water fasts, I don't think juices are fasting do to digestion being involved. Although i see great benefits in drinking just juice for awhile...................if fresh and organic.
Im actually just starting a fast Im in hour 26 my goal is 7 days
Im still struggling get back to all raw, let alone vegan. Being a cook makes it very hard.
Good luck always & peace

I understand that the length should depend on the frequency.
Weekly- one day.
or
Monthly- 3 days
or
Yearly- one week (or that may have been twice yearly)

I believe that yes for once a week it'll give your digestive system a break, but a fast doesn't really START until after 3 days of going through reserves.

i think weekly you could go for a fast. try having juice for dinner on friday, fast throughout saturday and break on sunday if you must so technically its a longer fast. from friday afternoon(after lunch) to sunday morning.almost two days.
i have the same prob i cannot fast too long i get terrible hunger pangs. i always break them with a binge.
best of luck to u though
