Hi all,

I am on day three of my journey. Wow, I made it this far.....

I have a few things to share with everybody. Last night I was about to make a salad and all of a sudden the thought of salad made me sick and all I could think about was avocado and tomatoes. So I ditched the salad and mixed together avocado, garlic, cilantro, sea salt, pepper and then mashed. I cut a cucumber into crackers and ate the avocado on the cucumbers adding a little lime juice to each bite as I made it. I also mixed up a few tomatoes, red onion, basil, sea salt, ume plum vinegar, olive oil, pepper. I put a mouth full of the tomato mixture in my mouth and chewed a few times and then added the cucumber/avocado treat and BAAAMMMM - Flavor explosion............

I am not sure why the salad idea was so sickening last night but it worked out for the best. I listened to my body and I was rewarded with a great meal.

I am stll cheating with coffee in the morning.. I have bben mixing the caffeine with decaf to help get me off the caffiene addiction. I should be off coffee by the weekend.

I am leaving for a 4 day camping trip to Pismo Beach in California. We are gong with alot of SAD friends. I will do my best to maintain my raw ways. I am bringing alot of nuts, fruit, avocados, and water. Wish me luck. This is going to be a great test...Oh yea - I love beer. I am in trouble...

Hey good luck!

i'm new to RAW also, but have found out that the best way for me to avoid my former addictions is to have the mind-set: "I am giving up these foods. I will never eat them again. They are BAD for me. I have so many other healthy choices now! So I can live without this."

Dunno what works for you, but don't give in!

Good for you Ken! What kind of camping are you doing? Some of my EASIEST raw days were camping. (I could only eat what I took for myself!) If you can take a cooler? I packed a whole watermelon in mine...yum....and small ziploc dishes with pre-maid pates in them....ziplocs of sliced veggies....I know others will have other ideas.

That's great!! I did the same exact thing the first day I went raw! The thought of a salad made me want to gag, and I ended up eating avocado and tomatoes for like the first week!

Ditto that guys on the salad thingie.

Still that way actually, I rather have just tomato or cukes cut up and avocado than the lettuce. I have tried dumping some dark leafy stuff into smoothies ie Baby spinach and I totally rather have that :)

I am tent camping on the beach. It hould be fun. I am bringing lots of fruits and nuts. I will get thru it
