Hi everyone,

I have been raw now for a little over a month and I get somewhat fatigued, which I'm sure is normal. I have been lucky in that my detox really hasn't been all too bad as of yet, just feel tired and a little weak sometimes. I'm wondering though if the tiredness is more from the foods that I'm eating rather than a detox. I'm a sucker for almond butter and I have a few tablespoons of it mixed with a little bit of honey, raisins, and sunflower seeds and I drizzle it over an apple. Sometimes I even eat two of these a day, I love it so much. The fatigue usually hits me right after lunch and I lay down for a half hour or so to get my energy back. I have been exercising a lot in that I walk a couple of times a day and that certainly has helped my energy.

I am currently reading Paul Bragg's book, The Miracle of Fasting, and think that I might begin doing a water fast one day a week as he suggests. It makes a lot of sense to me and I think it might speed up my detox and increase my energy plus rid my body of toxins. I'm wondering if anyone out there has tried this.

I am so blessed that I have become raw, everyday has gotten better and better. This way of life is truly a miracle and I'm so glad I discovered it and also this wonderful community of fellow raw foodists!

Warmly,

Gaelen

It comes and goes with me. I toss it up to healing. I do notice when I have more then the usual dose of nuts that I get fatique.

I've been fatigued for a few months now :( I think partially it's because of health issues as well as I can't have much fat (if any) in my diet, including avocados.

My detox took about 2 months and I'm even experiencing another minor detox now at month 3. Healing and adjustment takes a long time. Don't worry about it. When you're tired that means you need rest, your body wants you to sleep as often as you can. Your detox and adjustment may take a long time yet but it is worth it. Raw is not easy at first but soon you'll see great results.
