Alrighty, that "what is hunger" question has been asked so now I'm asking about "what is the full feeling?"
I know on cooked many people get that "i'm stuffed" heavy feeling when they're full. How do you know when you're no longer hungry when you eat raw? For me I never feel full. Then again I also am never hungry unless it's been 24 hours without any food and that's just the occassional grumble. When I eat it's just because. I don't feel full when I do eat. It goes from not needing to eat yet doing so to the "i'm going to explode" feeling. I can't get in the middle! That probably doesn't make any sense, but that's the best I can explain it.

I think you are still in a healing phase. I actually do know exactly what you describe.
I would suggest, the best thing to do is not eat until you are hungry, even if it is longer than you think or are told is okay to wait. Doing this is okay in order to reset your body to signal "true hunger."
So, then when you feel the hunger, then eat, mindfully, chewing slowly and for a long time till the food is almost liquefied (yes, this will take longer), then swallow. Pause, then take another bite, not too-too much; chew; liquifey; swallow; repeat. Eat with no distractions -- no tv, no music, background conversations, phone ringing, etc. Think about your food: think of its passage down your throat into your stomach and dispersing its nutrition throughout your body and into your cells. I believe this is a good exercise to get you in tune with your food and body.
I expect, you will feel when your body is "done," and satisfied. Perhaps it will take time, but perhaps not; you may feel this first try.
If you do begin to feel the stuffy feeling and feel the need to take a deep breath, you know these are signals you are "stuffing" and overeating. Stop for a while (even if you have leftovers; and even if you think you are still hungry). Then drink some water. Wait for 20-30 minutes, and I bet you will not be hungry as you thought you were. If so, then go back and finish the leftovers.
Best,

Everyday is so different for me. Sometimes it's 'just right' & I stop eating. I wont pick anything up again until much later. Other days, it's munching all day.
On the really tough days (when it feels like I'm dealing with some unhealthy cravings) I do a good fast/cleanse.
I wish hunger was just hunger & eating was just eating. I used to blame myself every single day because I couldnt seem to grasp the concept of what it's so obvious it SHOULD be.
I started allowing myself some forgiveness & gentle understanding that being a woman, hormones levels rise & fall, along with glucose, etc. I dont think everyday will be the same.

Excellent question. I know that I am no longer hungry when I lose the desire for foods. When food I eat suddenly loses its appeal and does not taste as good as at the start of the meal, it is the sign for me to stop eating.

I don't know how I feel not hungry, but I know I still have cravings to eat more as if I'm not satisfied. It's still something I'm grappling with. :o
