Hey Everyone!
I stopped drinking coffee almost 3 months ago but am still drinking a lot of tea, mainly yerba mate and white/green tea, does anyone know anything about raw tea? Mainly how to make it, what it tastes like, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

If you place various herbs ( or tea bags) in a jar of water and leave it in the sun for a day, you have raw tea :D

White tea is dried in the sun. I use that in my sun tea jar and I'll add fres mint and lemon balm leaves from my kitchen.
The herbal tea in tea bags may be dried using high heat though.

I LOVE sun tea! and it's so easy to make this summer LOL
I grow spearmint and peppermint, as well as lemon balm. I'll clip a bunch of these leaves and put it in the sun tea jar, and then add a little agave nectar when it's done. SO GOOD!

I was wondering how you make "sun tea" in the winter: is there an alternative?

What is a reputable brand of Yerba Mate?

Sometimes I will fill the jar 3/4 of the way with cold water and tea and the rest of the way with hot/boiling water. Then let it sit on the counter for half a day.

Wow, that sounds great, can we do that?? And still be raw??
I actually did that a few time, since I was a big time tea drinker.
I did it a little different, but same concept, I put about 2 ounces of boiling water in a mug, then let it sit for a minute or so, and added ice and cold water?? Can I do that or no?? Please advise-I figured this would be better than a cup of hot tea if I want to eat raw.
Thanks

I got over my need for tea by using some lemmon or lime juice in warm water and lately by using a spoonfull of miso.
I am too lazy to make sun tea (if I can ever find the sun around here).
