I performed at a wedding tonight in NY and, first, the waiter handed me a prime rib (without asking). So I told him I was a vegan and could I have a salad please (any salad) and after 20 minutes I got a bunch of Romaine covered in Cream Dressing. Ugghh. Sent it back and he never returned. OMG. I was so hungry. But I got over it. Just got home and raided the fridge which I didn't want to do in the middle of the night, but really.... this is the life of a performer. I got a lot of "what a pain in the a--" comments.
Just wanted to share...

This is why I never leave the house without food. I have a stash of raw pumpkin seed bars that I got at the health food store. One is filling enough for a meal and small enough to fit in my purse.

I hear you! Ha! ha! Good job!
-I always eat before I leave the house - and always bring a snack bag with me. I always keep a food bag in the refrigerator at work (and in my desk). I certainly make it a point to always be prepared! Just my experience.

From who? Just because you didn't eat the steak?? It doesn't sound like you asked for a lot of special treatment or anything.

Actually, My drummer was like, "Boy, you really ARE a pain in the _ s s" when I wouldn't eat the dressing. He was laughing, though. I really did eat before I left but I build up an enormous appetite after performing and loading and all that jazz. I usually have no problem getting a salad.. but it was not my night.
Anyway, I know most of you have been there, done that. Thanks for your commments.
Peace,
Stiletto
