View Full Version : Old injury ... possible detox??

Today I'm on day 39 of 100% raw, altho' I started going raw over a year and half ago. This week has been a detox week (yay!) but mostly with what seems to be a cold, but is basically just lots of drainage. (Not the usual sneezing and all that, altho' I did have a slight sore throat, also.)

The thing that's really, really weird, and is what I want to ask if anyone else has had this happen, is my knee. In '99 I blew it out and had ACL reconstruct. Since then, whenever there are low pressure systems going thru the area, my knee gets all tight feeling. It's been doing this all week, and I've just been thinking it was due to low pressure. But I don't think we have any systems going thru right now! Is it possible that along with the detox I could be "re-living" the knee difficulties as they work their way out with the detox? I know it takes you back thru all the sicknesses and all ... but an injury like that?

Has anyone experienced this before? It's lasted since last weekend, and it's never taken this long to loosen back up.

Thanks for anyone's input!! :)

Not sure if I've personally had this happen, but it is possible, called "retracing." For me an old tendenitous (sp?) injury flared up which it hadn't done for about 3-4 years.

Thanks, Dream! I've read about it happening, but honestly didn't start thinking about it until the last day or so, since there were a few different storm systems out there (and I'm in Florida) -- altho' I'm pretty sure there's nothing going on now. The low pressure always dings it, but it's never lasted a full week. Generally just a day or so. So the more I started thinking about it, the more I started wondering if anyone else has had this type of thing happen. (Especially since this has been a detox week for me.)
