I was just wondering if quick weight loss is normal. I have lost 22lbs in 32 days and that just seems amazing to me.

I feel fine but was just wondering. Is this safe & normal!?!?

It may seem like a lot but those people who have more to lose often lose weight at a rapid pace at first. It will slow down as your body regains its health and you aren't detoxing so much.

Congratulations :)

Coriander74 is right that larger people see more of a loss right away. I am down 20 pounds in my first 66 days, which seems like a lot. I'm sure if I started at a much lower weight, the scale wouldn't have gone down that quickly. I've released 7% of my body weight. That's a bigger number when I started so high.

I also wanted to add for those reading here who want fast results that the weight loss sometimes slows down when your body reaches a major detox/healing. It's not that the raw food stopped working, it's just that your body is using its energy to heal whatever problem it's currently detoxing. The scale does keep going down as long as you stay with your raw program. :)

I'm not one to say whether this is normal or not (I'm still a newbie), but CONGRATS! Losing 22lbs. in that space of time is awesome!

One can lose water weight quite rapidly. Whenever you lose weight that fast, the majority of it is water weight. As long as you are well hydrated, this is fine and safe. As you are eating less toxic foods, your body is getting rid of the water it retained to dilute the toxins.

Congratulations!

Yes I thought that may be the case as I have a scale that measures body fat % and it has not moved that much! I just cannot believe how much "toxic water" I have been holding!
