I have a jack lalanne power juicer that i have had for years and today decided to try and make some nut milk.Well it works and it looked so good but it tasted sooo horrible...My kids kept saying wow that is amazing when it was coming out, until they tasted ....yuck

Most people like their nut milk with a dash of salt and some agave' sweetner.
I know I do.

When I make nut milk, I add a squeeze or two of agave nectar (or you can add a date or two) a few dashes of sea salt and about 1/8-1/4 tsp. of vanilla.
This REALLY helps it taste better, especially for the kids. My 3-year old drinks it and my 7-year old eats it in cereal.
If you didn't toss out what you have made already, blend it in the blender with a little sweetner to taste and a dash or two of sea salt (and vanilla but that's very optional, we just used to drink vanilla soy milk and so now add it to our nut milk) and then try it.

I make my nut milk in the blender and add dates.
I think that dates are more of a wholefood than agave and are preferable for that reason.
I use agave in my icecream but somehow feel guilty when I use it and try to keep my consumption as low as possible.
