when i purchased a bag of carob candy drops from my local health food store.
toward the middle of the bag their were maggots, i never eat anything anymore without looking first, it taught me a good lesson.
Also never eat in the dark.

I know I hate eating at my parents because they like to eat in the dark. They hated it because I want a light on. I want to see what I'm putting in my mouth.

I bit into a peach once, well...a few weeks ago. I love peaches and grew up on them...it was perhaps my first solid food! And then I looked down when I reached the seed which was opened, which is a BAD sign! And there was a live ant in it crawling around. I flipped out!! So now I pulled the peach open before I open them, since I am too lazy to cut them with a knife lol
Wow - much cuter than the ugly moths that come in the cereal!

OOH! Cutie! I'd be all excited if I found that frog. I'd want to keep him and spoil him rotten. :)
blessed - that happened to me too years ago. There used to be weight loss bars called Slender when I was a kid (I'm 35). I ate half of one and then got full so I wrapped the foil back around it and forgot about it for a while. A couple of weeks later I started eating it again from the still-intact end. I took one bite then the foil fell and I saw a colony of maggots. EEK!!!
Now I always check whatever I eat thoroughly!

I love frogs. We get a lot around our property and I love to watch them hop around.
That pic must have been altered, don't you think? How could the frog be alive?
Also never eat in the dark.
:D ok, this is funny to me... not sure why. I think I've blocked something from long ago that taught me this lesson. I hope I don't remember!!! :p

I don't think I'll be able to buy a bag or organic salad; someone would have had to call 911 if I had taken that bag home and discovered it. Knowing me and the way I feel about bugs and stuff I would have noticed it in the store and had a sceaming spell - hate to admit it but its true. :D

My nephew asked me what would I do if I found a frog in my salad? I told him that I would probably be running back and forth in my house. Screaming.
No matter if I like frogs or not, I dont think I could handle having one jump out of my salad.
It would probably be as bad as the worm I found in my corn on the cob. I always check the corn before I leave the store, my Mother didnt and she told me to shuck the corn. Of course, she would. That was when I found the worm. I couldnt shuck any more corn. Ahhhh! It still makes me shake just thinking about it.

Those bags of lettuce have holes in them, so the moisture from the greens gets out. I think it's totally possible that a little frog like that could get in there, and stay alive. ;)
They do hundreds or thousands of heads of lettuce at a time, they can't catch everything, lol.

years ago while vegetarian and before I went vegan I went to a restaurant with some friends. I was the only vegetarian there and had dinner and just ordered the home made icecream for dessert.
My icecream came with a small sprig on mint to decorate it (well it was a fancy restaurant). I could not believe my eyes when a small catterpiller crawled out from the mint.
This was just a tiny little bit of mint and how they missed it was a complete puzzle to me.
If you had wanted to hide it there you would not have found the space and how they even handled the mint and not squashed it is a puzzle. I reckon that it was a chance in a million and it had to happen to the vegetarian.

I buy this brand for my husband sometimes and I do not think that they have holes.
When I put them in the salad drawer in the bottom of the fridge I am sometimes exasperated because the air in the bags make them so bulky and I can not fit them all in. If they had holes I would not have this problem.
I think that the pic is faked.

Once we were eating at this really fancy eating joint and a roach crawled out of my moms salad. We told the sever and she said: "its just a roach". We all left, none of us could stomach to eat anything there. We never returned.

This could also be a doctored photo. My husband can do amazing things with photos in Photoshop. He once took a normal picture of himself and found someone elses picture who had a split tongue and nose ring and tatoos and put them on himself and it looked like he had the real deal going on! So, never trust everything you see online. Now If I saw it on the news I would probably freak out, but people can and will do all sorts of crazy things with photos.
