Don't get the steel cut, I am almost totally sure those are not raw. I don't think regular oat groats from the bulk bins at Whole Foods, etc. are raw either. I DO know that Alissa's website sells totally raw oats. I am going to order some too!
good luck and happy oat eating!

I use raw rolled oats. You can get them cheap from Jaffre Bros. They're tastier than groats too & I think easier to digest.

-Oat groats / berries are the actual sproutable seeds. It it don't sprout...then it aint a viable seed.

I checked the website Manna Harvest and they said the steel cut oats and regular oat groats were both raw, I didn't know which one would be better to buy?

You want hulless groats that will sprout. It doesn't look like theirs are.

Is there a type of oats that i don't have to sprout? I would like some I could grind up to make oatmeal and cookies, things like that.
