Whether you have been raw one meal or 20 years worth the meals, share with us your happyist moment raw!

Mine was when I discovered a renewel in my health and had a emotional detox and learned to love myself.

Care to share?

Hi Lay Lay,

This might sound stupid, but it was this morning when I had the best best strawberries I've ever had from the farmer's market. When I was driving home from the market, I kept smiling and saying to myself, "God is so good to us to give us such good food". Usually, I like to eat while on the computer or watching tv. But when I had those strawberries today, for the first time, I didn't want to do anything but concentrate on each bite of the strawberries because they were just too good.

When I called my psychiatrist and asked if I could go down on my meds, and she said yes, and was as excited as I was.

And finding ME again :D

The day I got off high blood pressure meds after 10 years. Oh yeah, and realizing I love blueberries and mangos. I never knew they were so good.

Mine so far has been just feeling so good, picking carrots, lettuce, spinach, beets and beet greens, green beans, potatoes, and soybeans from my garden and chopping them into a salad.

Then, weeks later, hiking far far up the mountain, so far that I could see my house as an aero-photo, so far that ravens are nesting right below me on the rock cliff, wind blowing through the evergreens... I break into humming a quiet song that seems to be carried on the wind, by the trees, and I realize that I actually smell like I belong here. Amid the smells of fir trees and dirt and dog and moss, I smell like I am once again a child of Mother Earth!! That was my happiest moment so far. It's always been my goal to get back to Mother Earth, and, in this way, just one giant step closer to Great Mystery.
It was such a shock to smell my boyfriend, who has a meat-based diet. He didn't smell bad, but far different. O_O

Every RAW moment, is the best!

I'd have to say my happiest is when I was less than 100 pounds away from my goal weight.

Especially since I started with over 160 pounds to lose.

I was so happy to have finally gotten to that place in my health.

I've been happy, happy, happy with the delicious food since going raw. I still delight over every meal. God has put such delectable flavors in His foods. But my greatest delight has been the way other people's expectations have taken a back seat to my desire to use my own talents to help others. Seems that with physical detox came emotional and spiritual detox as well. I am free, free, free!

Appreciating the fabulous taste of fruits without my taste buds being numb from old SAD foods I'd been eating for so many years. Mangos or strawberries that just burst with flavor! Nothing added, just fresh sweet yummy fresh foods the way nature intended them to be eaten!

My First Day Raw was my best so far.

I sat at my computer and read stuff from the Raw boot camp and it all came together in one moment. All the years of this and that eating and in one moment it all crystalized into a clear moment.

Along with that, I realized that while living in the prison of eating that I was in, I had just been handed the keys to my cell and all I had to do was unlock it.

RAW is the KEY

So here I am 54 days later and I am out of my cell and walking the path and leaving behind every day some of the old me.

YEEEHAAA :D

People (my mom, grandmother, family, doctors, etc) telling me I look amazing and so healthy!

Oh and getting rid of my heartburn.

Enjoying every taste of my food, usually I just ate because I was hungry and nothing else. Now I enjoy it and savour being raw! I love it! :D

I must say someone came up to me last night, and said, "Are you getting younger?"

LOL

I had to ask them how old they thought I was, they said, "oh about my daughter's age, 35", then another person, said, "No, I know she has a grown son, so she must be at least 40 to 44." then another person said, "well, I saw you two weeks ago, and you look about 10 years younger than you did then, and you looked young then."

I am 53.

Oil seems to have the same numbing effect on my taste buds. I enjoy foods so much better when eliminating it. And I have more energy, too!

this was a great idea for a thread, Lay-Lay! One of my many happy moments was realizing that all the people who attacked me in the beginning of my raw journey, have turned into the people who are most heavily influenced by it, and who have made changes to their own lifestyles. It made me think that if I'm influencing people, then everyone on this board is influencing people, and in no time at all we'll be living in a Raw World, where there will be green smoothie stands instead of Burger Kings. :)

Funny you should ask. Mine came this evening when I opened a young coconut for the first time! All I could say was, "SWEET!"
I just smiled and smiled. What a cool experience.
But I have to agree with the majority on this thread. Just realizing how fortunate I am, that God has let me discover this way of living and eating. I am so fortunate...so blessed... thank You up there!

Having energy to start going to the gym again. Waking up and feeling rested instead of in a fog.

Seeing my mother's ankle, previously swollen twice the size of her other one, completely normal.

Eating dinner at Pure Food and Wine and thinking it was one of the most blissful dining experiences of my life.

Finding myself craving kale, tomato and macadamia nut oil salads and enjoying them *more* than just about anything I used to love and eat alot of.

My stomach looking like I am sucking it in when I am not :D

todays happy moment was my mom saying that she might consider doing raw for breakfast for 30 days. It's a start and it made my evening.

Just the other day I had a fruit smoothie with water melon and then enjoyed slices of cantaloupe that evening.

the melons upped my libido ;)

that was actually hubbies best raw moment

I'm looking forward to the day when I get mistaken for 28 yrs old. I'm 36 now. People ususally guess my age within 2 years. Before folks always thought I was 24 even when 21 and 32.

Now with five kiddos, a few grey "hightlights" and hips that make you go  ... got my SHAKIRA moves down though

... I guess I really look like a 36 year old frazzled mama

Today, i smy happyist RAW moment, as there is nothing before now, and nothing after now, there is only NOW.

Yesterday, the neighbors at one of my rental houses didn't recognize me, they've known me about 10 years, they haven't seen me since December. LOL

When I was opening a coconut one day and actually found myself drooling...

When my hubby came back from a week long business trip, eating all sad food, walked in, gave me a kiss, and said all he wanted in the world was a huge salad! He told me he had never felt worse in his life.

My happiest moments have to be now! Tonight again, i am eating unspaghetti, I fell in love with it last night, after successfully making my first raw entree. Delish was the word and still is the word.

I also happened to be with some associates who decided to have a picnic so to speak with all junk food today, Doritos, M&M's, Cheetos, Soda, donuts, you name it  , but I was able to hold my own and say no thank you. They were surprised, but it really wasn't bad at all. I guess I was used to it all tasting so good, but after last night, and other dishes as well, I know that I know that I know there is real food that taste so much better and is good for you!! :D
