Dehydrated tomatoes??

I have a bumper crop of tomatoes. Does anyone dehydrate? If so, do you like the results?

Oh yeah I love dehydrated tomatoes. They turn out great. I find they come out a bit dryer then sundried, but I'm sure this depends on the area you are in, season, and tempetures.

Thanks for your response. A few more questions: how long do they keep once dehydrated? How do you store them? How do you use them?

How long does it take for tomatoes to dehydrate roughly? I'd love to try this out.. I don't trust any packaged sundried tomatoes to be raw...

My first batch is in the dehydrator right now. I'm experimenting, so I don't yet have an answer. Maybe someone else will respond.
