my son is coming home for a week and i want to make some cookies 'n cream ice cream. it's his favorite!
i think i can manage the vanilla ice cream (though your input is always welcome) -- but i need to make a crunchy chocolate cookie that will hold its own in the ice cream.
anyone have/know of a recipe? TIA
many blessings to all!

Well, I always mix RP's brownies in my ice cream. Maybe you could dehydrate it for a crunchier texture? Don't know if it would stand up in ice cream though. But now I shall bounce this up!

Advance notice: I haven't tried this.
But as I read this, I thought about doing a basic flax cracker type recipe, but sweeter and adding cacao or carob.... spread fairly thin, dehydrate until crunchy... toss into the ice cream. *shrugs* Just an idea to play with if anyone is bored.

How about grawnola with chocolate chips (raw)
Make the grawnola in the dehydrator as soft as hard as you want them to be.

What a great idea. I would think cutting them into chip size then frezzing them would be a nice mouth feel!
