ok. This is probably going to be a silly question, but how does one soak nuts? I tried soaking some walnuts a month ago. By the next day, it came out really soggy & smelled like it was rotting.

What I did was put some walnuts in a jar and some water in it 2x the nuts. Covered it. Help! After my fast, I have to do some major exercising & need to up my calories. Plus, I don't like the taste of avocadoes. Inexpensive would be great as well!

I love peanuts, but I heard they were bad for me. Any other suggestions on how to up my calories but not spike my blood sugar? I'm so sad I have to give up bananas!

why do you have to give up bananas? Why are you cutting calories? Have you had a chance to read Alissa's book?

To be perfectly honest, I never soak the walnuts. I soak cashews (usually) and definitely the almonds. Soaked almonds are TONS nummier than just raw :D

oh no! I'm not trying to cut calories at all but trying to up them! The rate I'm going, my daily calorie intake is really low! After I'm done fasting, I plan on doing lots of aerobics & strength training for an upcoming event(I'll call it that!). I need mucho calories to keep myself functioning at optimum levels!

I'm cutting out bananas, b/c I don't want to mess w/ my blood sugar. I just want my body to have a easy time detoxing. I'm too lazy to chop up veggies for my sushi. :o So I like eatting things that will not require me to do any chopping, & I don't have too much money to go out & buy any chopping gadgets let alone food.

Eatting walnuts RAW is too hard for my teeth!! :D I might try almonds. Any more suggestions or insights? :p
