I've decided that indulging in raw fats and goodies is far better than letting myself go crazy with cravings and then having something else. I've been munching on almonds and making up lots of things with cacao nibs and coconut oil! I think that learning to turn to the raw foods instead of cooked foods is a better compromise. I'm planning on making myself some raw chocolate tomorrow :)

For the past week I've eaten almost all cooked (and BAD cooked) and very little raw. I cant figure out for the life of me what made me slip and not be able to go back. I did get my period, but I've had what, 3 periods since I first went raw and haven't had a problem. Then i remembered that I started following more of an 8/1/1 way of eating, with very little fat just like a week prior. They could be related. All I know is I feel like crap right now after today's cooked food. I told myself I'm back on the raw wagon tomorrow. God, I hope I stick with it! I don't know what my problem is.

Hello
This is my first period as a raw Vegan, and a few days before I was craving many things. I ate many almonds! (too many, I admit) and way too many almond butter and honey sandwiches. (Yes, I know, honey isn't purist Vegan lol)
Our bodies need much during this time of our cycle. Better to munch on fatty things like almonds (which have the good fats and many essential nutrients such as calcium and protein) than to fall off the wagon altogether.
Such is the opinion of a newbie.
Blessings and good luck to you!
