Hello! I'm going there for dinner tonight. I'm wondering if I can order a salad with guacamole (obviously no meat or cheese). Would this be raw? I'm not sure about the guac? Does anyone know? Thanks for the help!

What about their pico de gallo? Raw? Thanks again!

"Most" chain restaurants stretch their guac with sour cream and pico comes from canned diced tomatoes.

-In 99% of restaurants.....the things are NOT going to be raw....or will have non-raw ingredients added. What a manager thinks is 'fresh fruit' may be canned peaces on ice.
-You can spend a lot of time trying to get every place to cater to your wishes....or you can just eat before you go....and just enjoy the company.
-Or you can be cool like I do...and just show up with my pockets stuffed with fruit! LOL. They are eating guacamole....and I'm eating avocados! Ha! ha!

Instead of guacamole, just ask for sliced avocado and tomato on your salad

Somebody told me they make tableside guac so you see the whole thing being made right in front of you.
You could ask them for an order of guac and some raw veggies and lettuce to eat with it. Places like that are used to catering to different diets.
Of course, like David said, eat something before hand and stow something in there with you "just in case".

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that "on the border" has what they call live guac. where they make it right at the table. You can see what goes in or tell them no on some ingredients.

Sharon, we must have been typing that at the same time... didn't mean to repeat the same thing you said

That is okay Jade.
This is what is on the menu at the location near me:
Guacamole Live!
Made fresh to order at your table with ripe avocados and your choice of tomatoes, chopped jalapenos, cilantro, red onions and freshly squeezed lime juice. Enough to share!
$6.99
Of, course you wouldn't want to "share" if that is your main meal.

There was an hour long wait and the friends I was with were really hungry. We ended up going to Red Robin and I sipped some water. Oh well! At least I wasn't eating the "Chili Chili Cheeseburger" that they ordered. There was enough meat on that thing to feed a small country. Ugh.
