i just suddenly got this craving for feta cheese and freshly baked bread. i have not had them for months. i was battling it for a while, got up and put on my sweater to go to the store and “indulge”. i even wanted to get some beer, and I am not even a fan. as i passed by my mirror on my way out, i looked at my face and it struck me how clear my face is and the dark circles under my eye have disappeared while on raw. and i stopped as i will not put myself through this self destructive behavior of getting off raw, just because i am dealing with emotional stuff. so instead, i am indulging in a delicious banana shake :)

You deserve a lot of credit for that.
There have been times when, if the store that sells the Vegan Choc Ices was closer to me I would have given in, but thankfully it is too far and I would have lost the urge by the time I got there.

I have heard that generally a craving will disappear after 3 minutes - you need to focus on something else during that time!

You did really well to fight the urge to binge - it happens to me too.

Hi, my name is Stina and after experimenting with a major shift away from macrobiotics to Rawness, I'm really looking to go hardcore and see what it's like. My several days of 100% percent raw were magical, but, oh, dear, the cheese cravings did me in. So I'm looking to here for support and insight. Even my co-workers at the health food store seem to be strangely threatened by Rawness. Would like to strive for the month long purity challenge. Hello All! What a cool website. Blessed Be, Stina from Oregon

Last night I had a severe cheese craving for a fleeting second. Some commercial came on TV for those crumbles of cheese that come in a bag. They showed them raining from the sky. Without even thinking I opened my mouth as I gazed at the TV, wishing I could just open my mouth and catch some in it. But then I thought about how sick I'd be if I ate it. I shut my mouth, shuddered and felt sick to my stomach for a moment just thinking of it.

Loveyouforever,

Good job! I have been having some cravings today for almost anything cooked after being 100% raw for 16 days. I just keep making myself remember how I felt eating cooked foods, being tired and bloated with bad skin, on medication, cranky, and on and on. Why in the world would I want to go back there? Stay strong. ;)
