does anyone have recommendations for improving upper body strength? What are the best exercises or types of weight lifting regimen? I'm completely clueless! :D

I recommend getting one of the books by Joyce Vedral. I have the one called 12 Minute Workout or something like that. You'll also need some dumbells.

Books are great but I would join a gym for a while and learn the "on hands" experience. Sometimes seeing how it is done gets into the brain better. And it cuts out a lot of injury...............
