Is organic vanilla raw?

Hi everyone...i'm in the middle of making banana icecream and like usual, i'm putting a bit of organic vanilla in there. But then i thought... :confused: is this vanilla liquid raw? What is it!! It sure smells alcoholly and smells good! :p

The liquid kind would not be raw. A vanilla bean may or may not be raw. You can always use that. I use vanilla powder simply because my daughter is allergic to gluten and the liquid kind can contain that. The powdered kind is probably not raw either. I really don't know.
